
Bruschetta with Firebird Peri-Peri Salsa
No plates? No problem!
Ingredients

Sliced bread. Sourdough loaf? Sure. Baguette? Why not? Plain sandwich bread? Own it.
- Extra virgin olive oil (or the best olive oil you have on hand)

Garlic cloves (a ratio of 1:4 cloves per slices of bread should be enough)

Firebird Peri-Peri Salsa of your choice (we like it Mild)

1/2 firm, ripe avocado, diced, to garnish (optional)

Red or Birdseye chillies, to garnish (optional 🌶️)

Fresh coriander leaves, roughly chopped, to garnish (very optional)

Fresh lime, to serve (optional)
Method

Preheat your oven grill, or grill pan or BBQ grill if you're looking for those fancy char marks. Your toaster is your friend here, too.

Lightly drizzle and brush all sides of your bread with olive oil. If you're using a toaster, be sure to toast your slices before applying oil and proceed to step 4.

Toast each slice for a few minutes on each side until nicely golden.

Rub a clove of garlic across one side of each slice, then spread a generous amount of Firebird Peri-Peri Salsa.

Top with avocado, chillies and coriander, before adding a squeeze of lime.
